Superfood SMoothie

Smoothies have become a staple in my routine lately. They offer a convenient way to pack a wealth of nutrients into a single, easily digestible serving. For those who embrace ancient healing traditions, such as Traditional Chinese Medicine, you might be familiar with the idea of avoiding ice-cold beverages. For this reason, I prefer to skip the ice.

Here’s a versatile smoothie recipe that you can customize by swapping in different berries, greens, and optional add-ins to keep your taste buds happy. Embracing diversity in your ingredients is fantastic for your microbiome! Enjoy experimenting!

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup berries

  • 1/2 avocado

  • 1 cup greens

  • 1 tsp royal jelly or honey

  • 1 tsp fish oil or flaxseed oil

  • 1/2 cup water or nut milk

  • 1 serving of @mikunafoods protein

Optional:

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1 tsp Ceylon cinnamon

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients into a high speed blender. I currently prefer a single serve blender, which I’ve linked here.

  2. Blend until mixed well.

  3. Enjoy!
