Superfood SMoothie
Smoothies have become a staple in my routine lately. They offer a convenient way to pack a wealth of nutrients into a single, easily digestible serving. For those who embrace ancient healing traditions, such as Traditional Chinese Medicine, you might be familiar with the idea of avoiding ice-cold beverages. For this reason, I prefer to skip the ice.
Here’s a versatile smoothie recipe that you can customize by swapping in different berries, greens, and optional add-ins to keep your taste buds happy. Embracing diversity in your ingredients is fantastic for your microbiome! Enjoy experimenting!
Ingredients
3/4 cup berries
1/2 avocado
1 cup greens
1 tsp royal jelly or honey
1 tsp fish oil or flaxseed oil
1/2 cup water or nut milk
1 serving of @mikunafoods protein
Optional:
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tsp Ceylon cinnamon
Directions
Add all ingredients into a high speed blender. I currently prefer a single serve blender, which I’ve linked here.
Blend until mixed well.
