Honey Fermented Garlic

This is a super easy recipe that I love to keep on hand for cold season. Garlic and honey are two of nature’s most powerful ingredients, each renowned for their health-boosting properties. When combined through fermentation, they create a potent elixir known as garlic fermented honey. This simple yet incredibly effective remedy has been used for centuries in various cultures for its numerous health benefits. The fermentation process helps unlock the natural properties of both ingredients, making them even more potent. This recipe is an easy way to harness the combined healing powers of garlic and honey in a single, flavorful concoction. All you need is garlic, honey, and an air tight jar!

INGREDIENTS

  • Organic garlic bulb

  • Local organic honey

  • Air tight jar

Directions

  1. Peel & chop organic garlic to desired bite size.

  2. Add garlic to jar
and top with local organic honey. Garlic should be completely covered with honey.

  3. Mix & cover
with airtight lid.

  4. Open jar everyday to release the fermented gas and stir. You can enjoy right away or allow it to ferment for 1-2 weeks. It’s best to let it ferment for at least 5 days before enjoying. Store for up to 6 months!
